Abstract Painting

I am an integrative creative therapist, which means that I draw on different theoretical approaches and techniques to suit my individual clients' needs. My central motivating question is: How does this young person experience themselves and the world around them, and what do they need to feel safe and connected?

I work with young people to transform overwhelming feelings and experiences into thoughts that can be understood and worked through with empathy and creativity. I encourage parents to be involved in the therapeutic work, and can offer consultations with parents alongside my work with your child. I can also offer parent-child sessions where we work together in the therapy space to help families reconnect.

Prior to training as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I worked with young people in schools, at several mental health charities, in the criminal justice system and as a youth worker.

Confidentiality and safeguarding are important to my work and I undertake regular training to ensure I am working safely. I am fully insured, receive regular supervision of my practice and invest in continuing professional development to keep up to date with the latest developments in psychotherapy and neurobiology.
